Milestones


  • 2009: China Wilfer International Co., Ltd. is registered in Hong Kong, a joint venture between German sailing developers Dr. Wilfer and Mr. Peng Bifa, focusing on sail design and development for foreign brands.

  • 2010: Dongguan, Guangdong sail production base established, covering 4,000 sq. meters, equipped with high-end German and Japanese sail sewing machines and laser cutting machines. Dongguan Kelfu Sail Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was officially established.

  • 2015: Second large-scale production base established in Dongguan, covering nearly 10,000 sq. meters, ranking as the fifth-largest sail production base globally. Introduction of Australia’s extra-long cutting bed technology.

  • 2015-2016: Participation in METS, the largest European exhibition; joined Guangzhou Sailing Association and Xiamen Sailing Association.

  • 2016: Nomadic Tiger Wilfer Sailing Team wins China Cup IRC group championship; the sails designed by us win championships in races like "Fruit Island" and "Asia Pacific Navigation."

  • 2017: Nomadic Tiger Wilfer Sailing secures overall runner-up in Sanya Island Tour Race IRC group; expansion to international events, including participation in the China Club Sailing Race and Shanghai Cup Regatta.

  • 2017: Completion of the largest 110-foot catamaran sail in Asia, surpassing 800 sq. meters in area. Collaboration with 95% of domestic sailboat manufacturing factories.

  • 2018: Acquisition of CSF (UK) Limited (顺安风帆厂) in Dongguan, one of the largest sail-makers in the world, which gained us fibre laying technology and further helped us become the largest sail factory in China and fourth largest worldwide.

  • 2019: Wilfer sails designated for Round the Island Race boats - China Mobile, Wanning, and Wuzhizhou Island, achieving multiple championship wins.

  • 2019: Sinan Cup "Shanghai Maritime University" Jeanneau 52 secures championship using Wilfer Sails' 100% Membrane 4D carbon fibre technology sail.
  • Recent Developments at Wilfersails: A Transformational Journey

    • 2019: Fueled by rapid growth, Peng Bifa sought an optimal development base for Wilfersails. Zijin Industrial Park's strategic location and expansive potential caught his attention.

    • 2020: Wilfersails officially settled in Zicheng Industrial Park, constructing a factory aligned with advanced sail manufacturing technology.

    • January 2022: Peng Bifa relocated the production base to Zijin County, unveiling a sprawling factory spanning nearly 20,000 sq. meters. This move positioned Wilfersails as the world's third-largest sail manufacturing production base, introducing cutting-edge fibre-laying technology exceeding 50 meters.

    • Ongoing Expansion: The second phase of the Wilfersails Factory is presently underway. Swift coordination from Zijin's authorities facilitated the allocation of land for this expansion. Construction commenced in December of the preceding year, with plans to cover an expansive 45,200 sq. meters upon completion. This expansion aims not only to facilitate larger sail production but also propels Wilfersails toward becoming the world's second-largest sail manufacturer.
